Meadow

Checkout

A complete redesign of the campus e-commerce experience. The result was a 23% increase in completed checkouts, fewer inbound support calls to schools, and faster receipt sharing across departments. Unified reconciliation replaced manual multi-system workflows, and the new checkout experience directly contributed to closing deals for Meadow that had previously stalled.

Understanding the Problem

Through direct interviews, two pain points emerged. Purpose built tools were stuck with outdated, unintuitive workflows that made routine tasks harder than necessary, while general e-commerce platforms operated in isolation from the Student Information System, forcing staff to manually reconcile data across systems. Both paths led to frustrated admins, inconsistent student experiences, and lost revenue.

Meadow Checkout

I led with the student journey to enable early prototype testing while giving engineering a head start

Students and guests can browse items, add them to cart and pay without creating an account. They can easily make edits on their cart and use various payment methods to complete their purchase. I mirrored the experience to traditional e-commerce platforms.

I then collaborated with school admins to directly map and simplify their workflows

Admins can publish a public item or send private direct links, giving schools control over what's open versus targeted. Items are easy to add, edit, and delete with a live preview, and custom fields were reduced to a single click. Every transaction flows into one dashboard where admins can search, filter, export, and share receipts instantly. Reporting is configurable by group so each department sees only what's relevant, with a daily Payments Report for item level purchases and a Reconciliation Report for finance.
